My pure linen cafe curtains are woven of high quality, 100% European flax linen, and make beautiful custom linen drapes in almost any size, offering casual luxury for your modern home.
Within my shop, I have produced thousands of custom curtain panels, and garnered hundreds of 5-star reviews, proving that these have become a customer favorite for their precision of design, natural beauty and texture, and for their soft light filtering capabilities.
I'm committed to using only 100% linen for my curtains, never any imitation or "linen look" fabrics.
My linen is sourced from Eastern Europe, imported into an American company, and sourced specifically for your curtains.
My supplier states: "Every one of our fabrics is environmentally friendly and no part of our production causes air, noise or water pollution"
Additionally, these fibers go through rigorous OEKO-TEX certification, which tests products for over 100 harmful toxins and chemicals before approving them for public use.
Linen is a beautiful, natural fiber that fills your home with a warmth unparalleled by imitation fabrics.
When you choose Emerald Acre, you choose American made, with American values.
I'm a one-woman studio based in New England - when you send a message, I answer. When you place an order, I fill it. When your package is ready to ship, I'm that one that lovingly wraps it up and sends it to its new home!

Curtains are sold as one panel each, in the finished dimensions of your choosing.
These linen cafe curtains are perfect as a cafe style, half curtain; or as full length linen drapes.
Choose your custom curtain size: just find the closest size in the drop down menu, and add a simple note with your size adjustments, written in the "personalization box".
Downsizing only, please.
To find the perfect gathering, I recommend taking your window width and multiplying by 1.5
This will give you moderate gathering. If you'd prefer less gathering, I recommend a 1.25x gather. For increased gathering, go up to 2x the window width.
Please see listing photos for examples, or reach out with questions.
Then all you need to do is figure out how high you want the panel(s) to be.

All curtains are constructed with a rod pocket, which can also be used for a clip/ring system.
Rod pockets are available at the top AND bottom.
If you don't need a tension rod at the bottom, no problem, it just looks like a simple hem.
And that's all it takes - a simple tension rod is all that's needed to hang these curtains.
The top rod pocket is 2" high, and the bottom hem is 3" high.
The top rod pocket will accommodate a rod up to 7/8" in diameter.
If your tension rod is larger, you can just "flip" the curtain and use the 3" hem as an alternative rod pocket.

If you want to be able to part the curtain in two, take your gathering measurements, and divide by 2.
Then order a quantity of (2) in the divided measurement, in order to cover 1 window.
Feel free to write a note "these will be split panels" and I won't tag EVERY curtain... just half : )

Frequently Asked Questions
What's your production time for curtain orders - both custom and regular?
Typically I run at about 5 weeks for turnaround time.
This allows me time to collect orders, secure the necessary fabric, and get your order into the production queue.
I do my best to be as efficient as possible, and appreciate your patience while I complete your order just for you.
If you need something expedited you can always ask if I can make an accommodation.
What's the difference between Optic White and Ivory?
Optic White is a very bright, crisp white. It's a good choice if your decor is modern and bright, with cool undertones.
Ivory is a little softer, more of an "antique"white, though not yellow. It's a good choice for more traditional homes or homes with a lot of natural woodwork.
Both options are good, true whites, though, and the choice just depends on your surrounding decor.
How do I figure out what size curtain I need?
Pre-listed measurements in the listings are taken as if the curtain is lying flat.
If you need to figure out what width curtain you need, multiply your exact window width x1.5
(example: 24" wide window x 1.5 = 36" wide curtain)
This will give you an ideal measurement that will match the photos pictured in the listings. You can always go up or down, as necessary, or as desired. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
What is linen??
Linen is the only fabric I use in my shop, aside from the occasional organic cotton.
"Linen" comes from the flax plant -- it's the stalk of the plant that grows flaxseed. The finished fiber is known as linen. It grows in a similar fashion as wheat, although it's also very different.
The technique of processing linen into a fiber is very ancient, as linen is one of the worlds oldest textiles.
It requires little water, and rarely requires pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers. The linen I purchase is grown in Eastern Europe and parts of Russia, with zero air, water, or noise pollution during is manufacturing.
It's a naturally eco-friendly fiber, resists staining, gets stronger when wet, and is naturally anti-fungal (great for homewares!)
