home goods made by hand
When people ask me "what do you do?" it's a bit of a complicated question... The easy answer is that I sell on Etsy...
The full answer is a little bit of everything.
I was raised on Cape Cod with a very strong work ethic... when you live in a seasonal economy, you get used to hustling and saying yes to lots of different things. I've worked a wide variety of jobs just to make ends meet, often overlapping jobs, and wearing the different hats simultaneously.
My main gigs were working on our family produce farm, doing farmers' markets and a CSA, and cleaning houses. I've also been pizza shop girl, million-dollar estate landscaper, art show coordinator, craft show worker, whatever I could do to keep a paycheck coming in.
In 2011 I discovered Etsy, and started yet another side hustle using sewing skills I learned as a kid. Over the years my business has grown, and my lifestyle has changed, and I'm SO thankful that I've been able to slowly drop one job at a time, and now have a great main gig, sewing and creating full time.
As a homeschooling mom of two young girls, Etsy offers me so much flexibility to work my own hours, and be in full creative control. As a life-long lover of design, and natural materials, I have the freedom to create a lifestyle that reflects our family values, and have clients like you to thank for that.
In my spare time you can find me still doing all the things I used to do... working in the garden, obsessively cleaning (my own house), making pizza for my kids, landscaping with my husband, and doing art and crafts on the side.
Maybe one day I can also lay claim to having that million-dollar estate!
I like to keep all options open : )
